Outreach and Program Coordinator

Executive Director is Service Site Supervisor, but may be supervised by appropriate staff for various activities

Objectives and Goals

  1. Medical Triage and Intake
    1. Learn and train on Clinic’s safety protocols
    2. Train on Clinic’s Medical Triage and EHR procedures
    3. Perform screening and intake
  1. Client Outreach: Market and promote St. Luke’s programs and services directly to people who are homeless
    1. Develop flyers and other resources to encourage clients to get involved with programs and services
    2. Develop relationships with other Homeless Providers and the Tent City
    3. Partner with existing community programs to expand St. Luke’s presence among the homeless population
  1. Provide various social services that can be offered to clients
    1. Train and perform SOAR (expedited social security), food stamps enrollment, Medicaid enrollment, etc.
    2. Take Harm Reduction training, including HIV testing and counseling, Needle Exchange, Acudetox, etc.
  1. Program Coordination
    1. Coordinate Outreach programs such as eye screenings and foot clinics, haircuts, etc.
    2. Coordinate Café Salud
    3. Develop and lead additional programs and support sessions
  1. Data Construction and Analysis: Track and present program outcomes
    1. Create tables and figures for presentation to ED and others

  • supports volunteers who live in intentional community, focusing on four tenets: Community, Simplicity, Social Justice, and Spirituality; and
  • accompanies our sisters and brothers on the U.S. / México border.
