Outreach and Program Coordinator
Executive Director is Service Site Supervisor, but may be supervised by appropriate staff for various activities
Objectives and Goals
- Medical Triage and Intake
- Learn and train on Clinic’s safety protocols
- Train on Clinic’s Medical Triage and EHR procedures
- Perform screening and intake
- Client Outreach: Market and promote St. Luke’s programs and services directly to people who are homeless
- Develop flyers and other resources to encourage clients to get involved with programs and services
- Develop relationships with other Homeless Providers and the Tent City
- Partner with existing community programs to expand St. Luke’s presence among the homeless population
- Provide various social services that can be offered to clients
- Train and perform SOAR (expedited social security), food stamps enrollment, Medicaid enrollment, etc.
- Take Harm Reduction training, including HIV testing and counseling, Needle Exchange, Acudetox, etc.
- Program Coordination
- Coordinate Outreach programs such as eye screenings and foot clinics, haircuts, etc.
- Coordinate Café Salud
- Develop and lead additional programs and support sessions
- Data Construction and Analysis: Track and present program outcomes
- Create tables and figures for presentation to ED and others

Border Servant Corps
- hosts volunteers to work and serve in social service agencies in Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX;
- provides opportunities for volunteers to learn and teach about social justice and work toward systemic change;
- supports volunteers who live in intentional community, focusing on four tenets: Community, Simplicity, Social Justice, and Spirituality; and
- accompanies our sisters and brothers on the U.S. / México border.
