The American Cancer Socitey is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.
Whatever your skill set is, we can find a job for you and a way for you to help us in the fight against cancer. We need people to help plan events that will help us, we have volunteer opportunities year round. We need leaders, people with contacts in the community, people who want an opportunity to make a difference in their community and in people's lives.

Description
The American Cancer Society's aim is to help people Stay Well, Get Well, Find Cures, and Fight Back.
We have free programs for cancer patients and their families, such as Road to Recovery, which gives rides to cancer patients to their treatment. We also have support programs, educational programs, and information for people.
The American Cancer Society's main fundraiser is Relay For Life, which helps fund our mission.
