Hello! We hope this volunteer opprotunity entices you to join our team! We have beautiful, rescued parrots from unwanted homes. These lovely animals are so intelligent and loving! They need Rescue Leaders who can come to the sanctuary on a daily basis to visit them, clean their caging and offer them enrichment, support and love! Our hope is to find some hero's with some experience who can work out a rotation system for these sweet birds. We have one blue and gold Macaw, two Cockatoos, four cockateils, and one blue front amazon. We are searching for committed volunteers that love birds! These birds enjoy human companionship. They have many needs but mostly love. It is important to know that birds pick their people! So what works for one may not work for another. But each of them need enrichment in their lives. Think of it as being a "Big Brother," or "Big Sister."
The hours will be flexible once orientation is complete but must be at the same time each day. We hope you will join us as we save the lives of birds who desperately need your time!
