Annual Midsummer Cleanup

Saturday, July 23, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Hot summer days mean more people spending time down by the river. Help us keep it clean and safe by joining us for our annual Midsummer Cleanup. Willamalane will provide litter pickers, garbage bags, gloves, water and snacks. Meet us in the parking lot at 512 Aspen St.

Description
Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates seven recreation facilities and 44 parks and natural areas that make up more than 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, Wildish Community Theater, 13 waterfront areas, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails, 15 sports fields and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to more than 60,000 patrons. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries. It is governed by a five-member, elected board of directors and managed by a district superintendent. Online information is available at willamalane.org
