Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is in need of volunteers to assist with its Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as food stamps) Outreach Program at Gleaners Community Cupboard (GCC).

A variety of factors often prohibit program participation, including lengthy, confusing applications, lack of awareness, and misconceptions regarding eligibility requirements. Our SNAP Outreach Program is designed to help overcome those prohibitive factors and encourage more people to enroll in the program.

All volunteers will receive training prior to service. Volunteers may assist the SNAP Outreach Specialist in multiple functions, including but not limited to:
* Conducting direct outreach to GCC clients.
* Performing a pre-screening of interested GCC clients to determine potential eligibility.
* Assisting interested GCC clients with electronic application submission.
