Emma Norton Residence provides transitional housing and supportive services to women experiencing homeless along their journey of recovery. And when you’re homeless, holidays can look very different from the way they used to. But with your help, this 4 th of July can be a made into a holiday they will remember.

We are looking for a group of 5 or more people who wish to deliver a happy 4 th of July to our residents. Volunteers would be responsible for providing BBQ food (burgers, hot dogs, etc.) and drinks for approximately 30 women, cooking the food (we have a small grill, but the group is welcome to bring another if they so choose), and serving the food to the residents. The event will take place in the parking lot next to our building from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. We also ask for the volunteer group to bring a few activities, like yard games or crafts, to enjoy alongside our residents.

If you have a group interested in this volunteer opportunity, please contact Caitie McBride at 651-251-2627 or at cmcbride@emmanorton.org.

Emma's Place in Maplewood offers permanent, supportive and affordable housing for 13 families with three or more children. After-school and children's programming includes educational, recreational, and motivational activities.
