Event Volunteer: Back-to-School "Prep Rally"

The Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation's 2nd Annual Back-to-School "Prep Rally" will be held on Saturday, August 6th from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

There will be Minions, wrestlers, cheer squads, music and fun for all!

Volunteers are needed in the following roles:

  • Registration
  • Direct families into the event area
  • Liaison for special characters and guests
  • Help with set-up and clean-up
  • Help with children's activities (face paint, etc.)

VBCDC is an award-winning 501(c)3 non-profit housing development corporation operating in the City of Virginia Beach. VBCDC is committed to developing quality affordable rental opportunities, providing comprehensive support services to its tenants, and providing comprehensive housing counseling services to families and individuals in need. VBCDC currently owns and manages over 410 units of affordable rental housing located throughout the City of Virginia Beach that serve low-to-moderate income families, individuals, elderly persons, veterans, homeless persons, and persons with disabilities.
