Do you love health care (helping people), social media, and marketing? Wish you had a job where you could read, write, and talk about healthcare all day long? Better yet, one where you would actually be encouraged to spend your time on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Meetup, Eventbrite and all the other social media sites? Congratulations my friend, because you’ve found it. No, this isn’t a joke.
www.hidocs.org is seeking a couple of social media and healthcare fanatics to engage the healthcare community in meaningful conversations.
In this role you will:
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with your coworkers to create content ideas, storylines, educational content and client stories.
- Evangelize those stories across numerous channels, including blog posts, communities, web sites, social media channels, and more.
- Support the development and management of HiDocs voice and participate in the evolution of the editorial style guidelines and formats, both for text and video
- Assist in the development of the HiDocs content production strategy/plan by identifying content gaps and performing ongoing quality audits
- Track and understand performance of content based on traffic and other important metrics. Don’t worry, we won’t expect you to be a data geek. But bonus points if you are.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Editorial experience, both online and off, with some experience in writing, content curation, and engaging in conversations on sites like Twitter and Facebook. Past experience doesn’t have to be about healthcare, but it wouldn’t hurt either.
- History of engagement and expertise in social media channels, ideally from both professional and personal experience.
- The ability to take industry-specific details and translate them into content and channels that appeal to a wider audience
- Passion for the work that you do
- Great interpersonal skills -- you love to collaborate with others and it shows
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

- Wrote Meta and Title Tags for content pages, helping to boost average search engine rank to Y
- Developed email marketing schedule, resulting in average open rate of X% from Y number of subscribers
