The Seattle Animal Shelter fosters safe, healthy and caring relationships between people and animals in our communities Just last year we adopted out 764 cats, 333 dogs and 158 critters; reunited 617 lost pets with their owners; helped 144 additional animals in need find appropriate help and investigated more than 1,000 animal cruelty cases.

Depending on their skill set and professional development interests, Volunteer Support Team members coordinate the following projects:

• Database management (volgistics)
• Systems improvements (volunteer engagement cycle focus)
• Volunteer training coordination
• Special events coordination
• Administrative support
• Research

Qualifications:

• Committed to strategically growing SAS capacity to save the lives of thousands of pets that come through our doors ever year, and prevent animal abuse in our community.
• Detailed oriented, able to work with and learn database software.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Marketing experience a plus (including social media).

Time commitment: 2-3 hrs/week; 6-month minimum commitment required

Schedule: Regular weekly shift can be scheduled based on your availability, however it must be on a weekday between 11am and 6:30pm.
