Desert Paws Animal Rescue depends solely on fundraising and donations to provide food and veterinary care to our rescued dogs and cats as well as to continue or much-needed Rural NM Spay & Neuter Program on the Pueblos. We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Project Manager or a Fundraising Group who can really kick-start our fundraising program and help us find the best fundraisers to tackle. We are an extremely small organization, entirely volunteer-based so organizing fundraising can be a tremendous challenge.
The exciting work that we are doing is rescuing unwanted, neglected, and injured homeless animals in rural parts of NM. We also provide a low/no-cost spay & neuter program to people living on various pueblos so we can stop the cycle of unwanted homeless animals. All money earned from fundraising will go to our veterinary care fund. This will ensure that our rescued animals receive the proper veterinary care- including basics like vaccinations and spay/neuter but will also provide funding for animals who need extra care. Fundraising is one of the only ways to get the proper care.
