Circle City IN Pride Survey Taker (20)

Circle City IN Pride has grown by more than 1,000 percent since it began in 1988 as the first LGBT event hosted in an Indianapolis civic facility. Now including more than a week of events, Circle City IN Pride attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees and participants. The week culminates with the Cadillac Barbie Pride Parade and Pride Festival, this year on June 11 at the American Legion Mall. With headliners En Vogue, the return of Tent City, and new Girl Pride and transgender events, Circle City IN Pride is sure to attract record attendance and attention.

To learn more about attendees and why they come to Circle City IN Pride, we are looking for a diverse group of survey takers who will be responsible for gathering demographic information from visitors to the Pride Festival through a verbal survey. Each survey taker is responsible for completing a minimum of 30 surveys between noon and 3 p.m. on June 11. Each survey is estimated to take 2 - 3 minutes to complete. Because the survey taker is representing Circle City IN Pride, they must be comfortable interacting with visitors and directing them to other Festival volunteers and staff as needed.

Required Hours: Up to 3 hours, dependent on completion of 30 surveys

Dress Code: Khaki shorts, skirt or pants and provided Pride Festival T-shirt and lanyard

Compensation: $100 VISA gift card

Note: Survey takers may stay and enjoy the Festival after their shift is complete. However, they must bring a change of clothes since Festival employees are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages.

We are looking for four responsible leaders to manage a diverse group of 20 survey takers who will be responsible for gathering demographic information from visitors to the Pride Festival through a verbal survey. Each survey supervisor is responsible for collecting a minimum of 150 completed surveys from their team by 3 p.m. on June 11. The survey supervisor’s duties include: provide the survey instrument and record attendees for survey takers in their assigned quadrant of the Festival; collect completed surveys and ensure accuracy; be available to answer questions and resolve any issues; and act as a liaison between the survey taker and the financial volunteers on site to ensure proper payment of each survey taker at the completion of their shift. Because the survey supervisors are representing Circle City IN Pride, they must be comfortable interacting with visitors and directing them to other Festival volunteers and staff as needed.
