Volunteers are needed for Moving Day Chicago - A Walk for Parkinson's to help with registration, refreshments, kids area, course, team village, etc. Volunteers will work varying shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 1:00pm and time will vary depending on area assigned.
Moving Day, hosted by The National Parkinson Foundation, is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement features a walk, kids area and a Movement Pavilion featuring exercises all proven to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Parking, light breakfast and T-Shirts will be provided.

Description
Moving Day is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a 5K fun run/walk, a family friendly short course and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
In Moving Day Chicago’s 3-year history, over a million dollars has been raised in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. During these three years, NPF has funded more than $599,000 in clinical care and research in the Chicago area.
