Position Duties:

This position will be responsible for assisting in the development of a simple mobile application for the Florida Department of Health in Lake County. The position will help with the coding and design of the application. This includes the function and, if possible, the overall look of the app. The function of the application will largely be a question-and-answer function in order to determine the health knowledge of the app’s users.

Qualifications:

Experience in both Android and iOS coding and development is preferred. Experience in at least one mobile application development system is required. This position would be great for someone who is a retired computer programmer or a student studying app development. Technical skills should be very well developed. Understanding of what makes apps successful is desirable.

Training:

Hours spent volunteering for the Florida Department of Health in Lake County may be used toward college credit if needed for affiliated college. Background screening and orientation are both required for volunteers.
