The Festival of Nations event is held in Tower Grove Park, and is the region’s premier multicultural celebration, featuring over 40 ethnic food booths, non-stop dance and music, arts and crafts, and an international bazaar with unique gifts from around the world.

In 2015 the St. Louis Earth Day Recycling On the Go (ROG) program provided composting, recycling, and landfill services for the event. Because of our efforts, we had a 91% diversion rate at this event. That means that we were able to sort out 91% of the total waste for recycling and composting rather than sending it all to the landfill! That helps our local economy and local ecology! Be part of the solution and come help make 2016 as successful as 2015.

Mission Statement

To inspire and mobilize a collaborative movement towards an equitable and environmentally sustainable St. Louis region - every day.

Description

Founded as "St. Louis Earth Day" in 2002, earthday365 has built its reputation on its annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival, which is now recognized as the largest Earth Day celebration in the Midwest, but touches over a million individuals through its year-round programming Recycling On the Go and the Green Dining Alliance.

The Recycling On the Go program helps events and festivals in the St. Louis region with recycling and composting, while educating the community about waste reduction. Our Green Dining Alliance program is a restaurant sustainability certification and marketing program to help restaurants on their sustainability journey and to reduce single use plastics. We also started Environmental Justice Days of Action during the pandemic, connecting with community organizations to help them achieve their goals in addressing food apartheid and illegal dumping through neighborhood clean ups and garden days.
