The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), as a part of Edu-Futuro, a non-profit organization, is looking for young professionals in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland area to share their story with High School students of immigrant backgrounds.
Since 2006, ELP has worked to empower Latino and other first generation immigrant college-bound youth. In addition, ELP, under Edu-Futuro, has engaged families through education and leadership development programs to insure academic and economic success for the immigrant community. Become a part of this success today!
We are looking for Young Professionals in the DC, MD and VA area to serve in our career panel. As a Career Panelist, you would volunteer for one evening at any of our three host sites: Fairfax, Falls Church, and Arlington. The first half of the evening is set up as a panel discussion. Panelists share their stories and career path with the entire group and respond to questions that the students might have. For the second half, students are divided into small groups and the panelists separate. The student groups rotate among the individual panelists so that each student gets a chance to speak with each panelist on a more personal level.
Dates and Sites for ELP Summer 2016: Monday, July 18, 2016 (Fairfax & Arlington Site) and/or Tuesday, July 19, 2016 (Falls Church Site)
