The weeds are out of control! Imagine the frustration of trying to maintain your home while caring for a loved one at the end of life. With so much responsibility, mowing the lawn or fixing that leaky sink may the last priority. That’s where you, as a volunteer, can help.

Hospice of the Miami Valley is seeking "handy" men and women willing to do light home repairs and lawn care for hospice patients and their families. Your gift of removing one item from a patient’s to-do list can be an enormous relief to a family during a time of great stress.

This assignment offers flexibility in time commitment and schedule, so you can volunteer as little or as much as you like. Training is provided, and you will be supported in your role by a Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers are needed in Springfield and surrounding areas (communities within a 20-mile radius).

If interested, please call Volunteer Coordinator Virginia Noble at 937-521-1444 or email noblev@homv.org.
