Mrs. L goes shopping!
Unable to drive anymore, Mrs. L enjoys independence and good company when her volunteer takes her to the grocery store.

Local, flexible, impactful volunteering at its best! ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth is seeking local volunteers to be matched with an elderly or younger disabled adult who lives nearby, to either take them on bi-weekly shopping trips or to shop for them. The shopping trips can be scheduled during weekdays, early evenings, or on the weekends--whatever works for you! Time required is usually about an hour and half.

Most of the people our volunteers take shopping need and appreciate some help as they go through the aisles gathering items in their carts. All will need some help lifting the groceries into and out of your car, and getting the bags to their front door or kitchen.

This type of assistance is so appreciated by our clients! It can be instrumental in helping them to remain living independently in their own homes. Our volunteers frequently tell us how much they enjoy developing relationships with their shopping clients, and seeing the positive impact they can have on a neighbor in need. Call or email Brandon Trombetta at btrombetta@eldernetonline.org, 610-525-0706 for an application or to ask any questions. We'd love to have you join our team of volunteers!
