ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley

Help local homeowners make repairs on their homes while learning skills and having fun! No experience required!

There are many skills to learn on a construction site and we recommend starting with the basics. Join us in painting and making minor repairs to San Jose homes as you learn about Habitat for Humanity, construction site safety & procedures, and the fundamentals of exterior painting & home repairs.

Painting homes is another way we are serving residents and improving the community of San Jose. By partnering with volunteers, we provide exterior home painting services to qualifying households.

Benefits of Exterior Painting:
* Enables families to maintain their home
* Protects the investment of homeowners
* Promotes neighborhood pride and homeowner dignity
* Improves the "curb appeal" of neighborhoods

For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16 to 18 must bring a signed minor waiver form with them to the site. Minor waiver forms are available here: http://www.habitatebsv.org/sites/default/files/2017%20Minor%20Waiver%20Template.pdf
