The Arc Minnesota is a statewide non-profit organization that supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout their lives. However, many individuals continue to lack opportunities to live, work, learn, recreate, and participate in their local communities.

The Arc Minnesota has 12 regional chapters that provide direct support to individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Minnesota. The Arc creates and advances innovative ways of supporting individuals and families to increase opportunities for developing person-centered plans and navigational information and services that help to address their needs, recognize their strengths, and match their personal life goals.

The Arc offers public policy leadership at national, state, and local levels, provides individual advocacy protection, and provides services to increase opportunities for social inclusion and attaining self-deternined lives.

For example, The Arc Minnesota provides Housing Access Services to support people with disabilities in connecting to housing in therir community and moving to places of their own. The Arc partners with other organizations in Minnesota to advocate for improved quality in disability services. And The Arc is an emerging leader in the development of person-centered services so individuals and their families have a voice in directing their plans and choosing services and supports that are aligned to achieve them.
