Montana No Kid Hungry AmeriCorps mission is to end childhood hunger by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day. One in five children do not know where their next meal is coming from. As a MT NKH AmeriCorps member, you will have opportunity to make systemic change and be a trailblazer in ending childhood hunger. As an AmeriCorps member, you will collaborate with schools to make food more accessible to food insecure students through Federal Nutrition Programs such as school breakfast, summer meals, and afterschool meal programs. You will transform these programs promoting dynamic ways of delivery and access; you will empower kids and their families in making healthier food choices with limited budgets through delivering nutrition education and food skills in fun and creative ways. You will raise awareness through youth engagement, building volunteer networks, and service.
