One of our students, Yannik, is 16, and from Germany. He describes himself: " I am very spontaneous, funny and relaxed. I am outgoing, and I try to talk to everybody to make new friends. Handball is my main hobby, which is a sport similar to basketball. Aside from handball I like to go running or exercising in a gym with my friends. If there isn't a handball game on the weekends, I love to go mountainbiking in the mountains nearby. I love taking in the breathtaking landscape and having this incomparable feeling when going down the hill on my bike. I'm also interested in playing and watching soccer, American football, or just about any other sport, since I love to be active all the time. "

A little bit about International Experience USA (iE-USA):
iE-USA is a non-profit student exchange organization that is approved by the US Department of State and fully listed with the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel.
Our students are between the ages 15-18, and originate from Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy, Thailand, and more. Our young adventurers need host families and a safe, caring environment while they attend an American high school for one or two semesters. Traditional and non-traditional families including retired couples, young couples, domestic partners, singles, multi-generational families, etc. are encouraged to apply as hosts.
Host families provide a private or a shared bedroom (with host sibling of the same gender) and three meals a day. Exchange students cover their own personal expenses and medical insurance.

iE-USA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational exchange organization that was founded in 2002. We are devoted to building and strenghthening relationships and understanding among the people of the world and believe that learning about other cultures, languages, and customs is the best way to eliminate fears and prejudices. We pride ourselves on providing individual care and direct support to our exchange students, host families, local schools, and iE team members, and we are certified by the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET).
