The Sanctuary at Soledad Goats is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue and goat dairy farm. We are home to over 300 rescued dogs, goats, horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and 700 dairy goats. Our goals are to repair our chicken coop, repair some fences, and do some general clean up on a ongoing basis to help care for our 200+ baby goats, other animals, and administrative tasks.
We are a bit off the beaten path from the bright lights of any big city so ideally this could be a fun time for a group of friends or families to get together for a roadtrip. You'd be spending time together, socializing with the animals, and your volunteer clean up efforts would be helping a great cause.
This is a great opportunity to get to know us and discuss a volunteer schedule! For more information, check us out at sanctuaryatsoledad.org and on Facebook at https://m.facebook.com/SoledadGoats.

Mission Statement
Where every animal has a home.
Description
The Sanctuary at Soledad Goats was founded by Carol and Julian Pearce, Southern California goat farmers who are well known for their fine artisanal goat cheese and warm presence at the local area markets. After many years of informally rescuing animals from farms and shelters - saving many from being euthanized - they finally decided to make it official. So they created The Sanctuary at Soledad Goats... Where Every Animal Has a Home. The Sanctuary at Soledad Goats is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization funded by donations from supporters like you. In addition, all the proceeds from the sale of the goat cheese goes to The Sanctuary.
At The Sanctuary at Soledad Goats , we believe in a different approach. Working animals co-exist side by side with older, retired livestock animals. Rescue dogs mingle freely with dairy goats... near a chicken coop housing laying as well as non-laying hens. Turkeys, donkeys, sheep and horses all have their place, munching on sweet hay and enjoying the warm Mojave sunshine.
