Family has materials available to help build a ramp for their elderly mother who is now at risk of falling over the few porch steps leading into her home. However, they need help with where to go from there! Volunteer services is looking for a motivated, knowledgeable person who knows about carpentry and wood working to help support the family in developing a blue print in order to build a ramp for their mother to ensure her to live safely in her home.

Description
Our program exists as a safety net for low-income elders and people with disabilities (also low-income)by providing them with services that allow them to remain living as independently as possible in their own homes (not assisted living). For example, a 89 year old woman who only collects $600/mo. in Social Security needs help with her lawn. She can't afford to pay someone, and if her lawn goes a couple of months without being mowed, now the lawn is a fire hazard.
