Come join us for a stewardship work party to help restore North Creek Forest! You will make the forest healthier by removing invasive plants, like Himalayan blackberry, and spreading mulch on this year's restoration site. Removing the blackberry will make room to plant native plants, and mulching will provide soil nutrients and reduce erosion. No experience is required, and all ages and group sizes are more than welcome!
Friends of North Creek Forest will provide tools, gloves, and a light refreshments for all volunteers. Exact details for the event will be emailed closer to the event date.
To RSVP, or for any questions, please email Greg at gregw@friendsnorthcreekforest.org. We look forward to having you out in the forest!

Description
Friends of North Creek Forest is a grassroots environmental non-profit founded in 2011 that focuses on environmental restoration and education within North Creek Forest. By weaving education and restoration together we are improving the ecological function of the forest while also boosting education. Expanding this model benefits our salmon and the Puget Sound.
Our volunteer work helps reduce soil erosion, increase forest heatlh, increase water quality, increase native wildlife habitat, and builds a stronger sense of community. Check back frequently for future volunteer opportunities.
