Ever heard the expression, "90% of helping is just showing up"? It's true! Your presence is the most important thing you can give to a hospice patient.
Friendly visitor volunteers offer support, companionship, and practical, caring help to a special group of people. Whether it's running errands, reading to a patient, or holding their hand, the help and support that our volunteers give is returned to them in countless ways.
We are currently seeking volunteers to visit our patients at The Madison Senior Living Community in London, OH. This assignment offers flexibility in time commitment and schedule, so you can volunteer as little or as much as you like. Specialized training is provided, and a Volunteer Coordinator will walk with you every step of the way. You will be supported in your role by a competent and caring group of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and fellow volunteers.

Hospice of the Miami Valley has a variety of volunteer opportunities across the entire Miami Valley. Our volunteers play a vital role in the Hospice team. Hospice of the Miami Valley offers each volunteer flexible schedules, specialized training, and opportunities for personal growth. Volunteers are needed across Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Greene, Madison, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, and Warren counties.
