Saint Therese Home Health Aide Skills Fair
Where: Brookdale Library

8:45am - 3:30pmYou can be part of a fun-filled day as Saint Therese Home Health Aides demonstrate their job skills. Volunteers are needed to help with registration as participants arrive, and to help at skill stations. Some skill stations will need a volunteer to supervise, and some skill stations will need a volunteer to act as a patient. Be willing to have a Home Health Aide demonstrate care-giving procedures for you; put on a support stocking, provide range of motion exercises, give an oral "medication", etc.
A cheerful and kind attitude will help put the aides at ease as they demonstrate their skills. A background in nursing would be ideal, but no experience is necessary - we provide on the job training!
When you make a difference in someone's life, you make a difference in your own - volunteering is good for the soul!

Saint Therese is a nonprofit, Catholic senior living and care organization born out of a simple mission: do ordinary things with extraordinary love. For 50 years, we have supported Twin Cities’ seniors and their families with innovative programs designed to make life better and more fulfilling. As individual needs change so do our care offerings-all while creating countless opportunities for physical wellness, spiritual connection and social activities.
We have senior communities in New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Woodbury and coming soon to Corcoran that are rich with thoughtful amenities and support. Our compassionate services also reach seniors living in the broader Twin Cities area through home care, outpatient therapies and wellness programs.
