People will help lift and carry at two to four bags of food weighing roughly 20 lbs. or more, from the Duarte Senior Center to people's cars or the bus stop. This usually only takes about two hours depending on the amount of people who show up, and if there are any complications or not.

People MUST BE ABLE to lift and carry 20 lbs. or more. On warm or hot days, wear ball caps, cool clothing such as shorts and t-shirts you won’t mind sweating in, and comfortable shoes because we will be doing quite a bit of walking. I do not recommend wearing make up and do not wear short-shorts or daisy dukes, no shirt with offensive signs or profanity on them, and I strongly recommend comfortable walking shoes such a tennis shoes or trainers for the amount of walking that you will be doing. You will have to sign in and fill out some volunteer paperwork. We are mostly looking for people in college and adults with no criminal records. If you are a college student, and need community service or volunteer hours, then this is the perfect opportunity.
