Help Us Build This!

Join us in a historic event in Perry Hall, Maryland - a one-of-a-kind playground bringing people of all abilities together for generations of memories. You are invited to help build Angel Park. In 11 days this July, a team of community volunteers...YOU...will build an all-inclusive playground.

There are many possible areas where volunteers will be needed to help, including playground construction, food service, childcare, materials & tools management, volunteer check-in, and so many other areas. Volunteers will be onsite daily working in shifts throughout the week from July 8-18. You are welcome to sign up for as many shifts as you would like.

Families are encouraged to volunteer together! Children ages 10-13 can volunteer with a parent/adult. Children ages 14-17 can volunteer independently. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community and earn service learning hours. Childcare is available for ages 3 to 13. We welcome groups of all sizes. Groups from businesses, sports teams, scout troops, gyms, neighborhoods, and many others are coming together to help build Angel Park. If your group is interested in helping to build Angel Park please email angelparkgroups@gmail.com. Individual sign-ups and more information can be found at www.angel-park.org

About Angel Park

Location:

9685 Honeygo Blvd, Perry Hall, MD 21236, US

Mission Statement

To provide a forum for community members to participate in the design and build of an all-inclusive playground and amphitheater.

Description

The word "angel" can have many meanings, but it is always a reflection of something good and positive. Whether referring to a special person in our lives, an individual who has performed a good deed, or someone blessed with a special talent or gift, we all use the word "angel" in a complimentary and positive way.

Angel Park - a new all-inclusive playground and amphitheater facility in Perry Hall, MD has a very real and personal meaning to members of our community. The name was purposely chosen to represent a vision of an ideal setting for happiness and reflection. This name was selected to inspire support from the widest audience and to build the enthusiasm and momentum necessary to make it a reality.

Angel Park began from an idea that came to Kelli and Andy Szczybor after the loss of their baby boy, Ryan. From a sad origin, a bright and life affirming idea emerged - to build a place for laughter, activity and fun, for families and friends throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.

Angel Park will incorporate the designs and ideas of local children and artists. It will be built and supported by the community and provide a unique destination to be enjoyed by all families for years to come. It will be more than a memorial park; it will be a special place for children, families and friends.
