Philadelphia Reads invites you to volunteer as a moderator or scorekeeper at the Philadelphia Reading Olympics. The competitions are held at Philadelphia colleges and universities during the month of May.
Volunteers are needed to act as moderators and hosts for the event at Drexel University May 27 from 8:15am - 12:15pm. Refreshments will be provided.
Each volunteer will attend a training session at the site at 8:15 am the morning of the event. You will be required to stay through the three rounds of competition which usually last until 11:30 am. There is an award ceremony immediately following the competition that concludes by 12:15 pm that you are invited to attend. As a volunteer you will either ask the questions (don’t worry, the answers are provided) or keep score. We guarantee that you’ll have fun as you help to make this rewarding activity a success.
Feel free to contact Tiffany Smith, Outreach & Programs Manager, at (215) 851-1806 or Tiffany@globalcitizen365.org if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
