The Academies of Math and Science are a network of 4 top-performing K-8 Title I charter schools in Phoenix and Tucson with the goal of preparing underprivileged children for college. Over 80% of our students come from low-income families and qualify for free or reduced lunch programs at school. We are currently seeking volunteer tutors in math and reading for the upcoming semester. If you are considering a teaching career or simply love math or English and working with kids, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
The only requirements are that you commit to at least 3 hours of tutoring per week (4-5p Mon-Th/9-12 Sat) for the upcoming semester. Choose from 2 locations in Tucson (Prince/I10 and Valencia/12th Ave) and 2 in Phoenix (Camelback/67th Ave and Thomas/I17). We will complete background checks and screen your experience/education to ensure you are qualified.
