Are you a financial guru who loves to share what you know?
Come share your knowledge with the residents of the Hutchins Re-entry Center. The Hutchins Re-entry Center provides an opportunity for men and women formerly incarcerated with the Federal Bureau of Prisons to successfully transition back into society. However, we need help to accomplish this goal. We are in need of volunteers to:
- Teach basic banking to clients
Teach clients money management skills
Teach clients how to properly manage debit/credit cards, ATM usage and online banking
Teach clients budgeting and best savings practices
Specific activities included in the position:
Instruct clients in current banking practices
Demonstrate online banking usage
Demonstrate personal budgeting and money management (including spending, bill paying, saving, etc.)
Qualifications and skills needed:
Able to clearly and effectively relate information to clients/residents and staff
Background in financial counseling, coaching or advising, banking or a similar area that has provided the volunteer with sufficient knowledge to fulfill the need.
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality at all times
Demonstrates high degree of integrity and ethical standards
Upholds organizational values
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
