Are you a Real Estate Broker, Housing Counselor/Coach, Landlord or do you work in a similar capacity? Give back in a BIG way! Our clients need help navigating the world of online house hunting, leasing & rental applications, as well as second chance housing for felons. Are you willing to:
- Teach individuals how to navigate online searches for housing
Teach individuals how to apply for housing online
- Help individuals identify suitable housing resources
- Provide listings/brochures for second chance housing
Answer specific questions concerning housing laws that could affect clients.
Qualifications and skills needed:
Able to clearly and effectively relate information to clients/residents and staff
Background in housing resourcing, housing location, real estate, social services with a specialization in housing for homeless, indigent or newly released individuals from incarceration; or a similar background that has provided the volunteer with sufficient knowledge to fulfill the need.
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality at all times
Demonstrates high degree of integrity and ethical standards
Upholds organizational values
Must be able to pass a criminal background check

- Addiction treatment, prevention and recovery programs
- Affordable housing for seniors, low-income families and adults with disabilities
- Community re-entry programs from those transitioning from prison
- Housing and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- A continuum of support services that support our clients and address the needs of the whole person
