Apply to be a Computer Instructor volunteer! Cathedral Gardens, part of the nonprofit EAH Housing, is an affordable housing unit located in downtown Oakland, CA. Residents are low-income families who have limited resources. Though our facility has a computer lab, many do not know how to navigate the computers. Residents, including seniors, are interested in learning computer basics (how to create and send email, etc.). Because our computer room only has two computers available, volunteers who can provide help on a one-on-one basis would be perfect.
Please let us know if you are interested in teaching computer basics! We would like a volunteer who can come in for at least one hour per week* (more hours available if interested):
Note that all volunteers are subject to a background check. Please contact the Resource Coordinator, Connie, at conniem.chan@eahhousing.org for more information.
*Hours are flexible for the most part. However, to save both parties some time, please include your availability in your email!
