ORGANIZATION: The Nature Connection

The Nature Connection Program Volunteers

The Nature Connection is holding our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, July 27th. The event is a reception and includes a brief talk about one of our at-risk youth program sites. We are in need of volunteers for a variety of tasks - general set-up, help during the event, and clean-up. The event is from 5:30-7:00, but timing for volunteer slots varies.

The Nature Connection's mission is to improve the wellbeing of individuals and communities through the therapeutic use of nature.

Description

The Nature Connection brings the curiosity, joy, and healing power of nature to children and elders, many confined to institutions, to have direct contact with the natural world. Programs feature seasonal themes, fresh plants, animals, natural materials and the arts, we provide educational and therapeutic programs to youth at-risk, people with disabilities and elders in Concord and Greater Boston. Founded in 1983, the Nature Connection brings individuals together with nature's capacity to heal and to teach.
