There are many diverse opportunities for volunteers at Dogtopia's Annual Charity Dog Wash. We will need people to help giving dogs baths, selling raffle tickets, playing music/DJing, face painting, and set-up/take-down. The event itself runs from 12pm-4pm, but we will need volunteers starting as early as 10am and until as late as 5pm. We will be raising money for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) K9 Unit. Our goal is to wash 150 dogs and raise $5,000. Bring your friends and help out while having a good time at our Charity Dog Wash!

Mission Statement
Since 2005, Dogtopia's charitable arm has raised funds to support military dogs, personnel, and veterans. We love supporting the communities that support us by actively seeking opportunities to give back.
Description
On July 4, 2005, Dogtopia in Vienna, Va. began a campaign to create awareness and generate support for military dogs and their handlers stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere overseas.
Their first fundraiser, a dog wash, attracted national attention to their cause and brought in over $9,000. Funds were use to ship over 5,000 lbs of supplies. Packages included goodies for both humans and canines alike, but also essential equipment, such as cooling pads, protective eyewear and heat resistant clothing.
Following up on the campaign’s success, Dogtopia added a permanent non-profit arm to the company, known as K-9 Support, Inc., to support working dogs of all kinds. From military dogs to rescue dogs to Seeing Eye dogs, Dogtopia is committed to aiding these wonderful animals in any way we can. The charity has raised over $130,000 in donations to date.
