We need a volunteer 2 times a month on Saturdays from 8-12 at the Western Wake Farmers Market in Cary to staff a Farmer Foodshare Donation Station. The Donation Station collects fresh food from farmers at the end of market and also collects donations of cash during the market to purchase from farmes. All collected food goes directly to a partner organization who is getting food to people who need it. The Market is a vibrant place to be on Saturday! Plus you get to know your farmers and help those in need in your community.
The Saturday Volunteer will be trained by the makret manager and a Farmer Foodshare staff and will have the opportunity to participate in other parts of the organization. Please visit the Farmer Foodshare website at http://www.farmerfoodshare.org/.
