Do you want to make a difference for children in your community? Our Summer Lunch at the Library Program is seeking an adult who will provide oversight of the program. A small stipend of $500.00 will be available at the end of the program.
The Summer Lunch volunteer coordinators are responsible for room set up/clean up, managing teen volunteers who will help service pre-packaged lunches, and work directly with the Library staff and food vendor.
The Summer Lunch program is offered over an 8 week period starting on June 14th, ending on August 5th. Lunches are served 4 days a week, Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 to 2:00. The Lunch Coordinator's shift on those days is from NOON to 2:30.
You are highly organized, enjoy working with children and families, able to and interested in providing support and direction to teen volunteers and willing to commit to the program.
Lunch Coordinators will be required to attend an orientation and training in food handling and complete a background check via Live Scan.
If this sounds like a great opportunity and a wonderful way to engage with your community and the Library, we look forward to receiving your volunteer application!
