We need bi-lingual volunteers to help translate at our annual Dia De Donar Sangre for our Hispanic donors. The blood drive is on Friday June 17th and volunteers are needed for 4 hour shifts throughout the day. Fun raffle prizes will be drawn from all volunteers!!! Delta Blood Bank is a not-for-profit community medical service organization whose mission is to obtain and distribute human blood and blood components in a safe and efficient manner. The ultimate goal is to assure that all citizens in the service area have access to the safest possible human blood and blood components whenever the need should arise. This goal is achieved through adherence to high standards, the adaptation of current technology, the maintenance of equipment and facilities, the continuing education of professional staff and the efficient allocation of resources.

Description

Delta Blood Bank is a non-profit, community blood bank and is the leading blood supplier for the San Joaquin Valley and Foothills area. Our mission is to serve the local community whenever the need for blood arises. We have proudly met that need for over 50 years. Based in Stockton, CA, we serve a five-county area including San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Calaveras, and El Dorado counties. We operate nine donor centers and hold a wide variety of mobile blood drives throughout the region. We provide service to 15 local hospitals within the region and need to collect over 250 pints daily in order to meet the demand.
