Margot, the daughter of a Faith in Action care receiver recently wrote us a letter about the impact that Faith in Action has had on her father. Our volunteer, Woody has been visiting Willie for almost a year. Willie's daughter stated, "In a word, Woody is a "Godsend", he IS Faith in Action!.........From periodic in-home visits with Dad to simply being friendly company (even with his lovely wife over dinner) to an occasional podiatry appointment, Woody has demonstrated the mission of Faith in Action honorably." Join Woody in making the difference in the life of a senior in your community today! Volunteer your time and talents to Faith in Action!
The purpose of Faith in Action is to assist seniors in remaining independent in their own home for as long as possible. This help is provided by people like you! We have several ways that you can get involved and help a senior in need. You can provide transportation to medical appointments, friendly visits, phone reassurance calls, yard work, office support, and/or join our advisory board! Call the office to RSVP to one of our Volunteer Orientations, scheduled for Tuesday, June 7 at either 10 a.m. or 5 p.m. (217) 337-2778.

Description
Interfaith volunteer care-giving program in which volunteers provide assistance with transportation, yard work, minor home repairs and chores as well as friendly home and phone visits to those 55 and older in order for them to remain independent in their own home.
