How would you like to volunteer in a bookstore that also benefits the Russellville's Public Library (RPL)?! The Bookstore at RPL, is entirely staffed by volunteers! A unique used bookstore located in the Russellville's Public Library, the Book Store raises funds to support the programs & services at RPL. We're looking for folks who enjoy working with the general public, are able to use a computer. Naturally, customer service or retail experience is a plus; but we're definitely willing to teach these skills to you as well. A minimum of one month commitment to six months is preferred.

The Pope County Library System is a center of community life, offering opportunities for people of all ages to learn, know, gather and grow.
Description
The Pope County Library System (PCLS) is recruiting the volunteers to help in our programming, Circulation, Genealogy, Inter-library Loan Departments and the Book Store in the Russellville Library.
PCLS serves an average of 350 people per day in its Russellville Branch and 700 per day during the Summer in its Headquarter library alone. Programming increased 70% in 2012 and 10% in 2013. The Russellville Library relied on 24 volunteers to help the system serve the 156,640 patrons who visited the libraries as the economy struggled to recover.
We are looking for creative, organized, team players who have a heart to serve and invite individuals, Civic Clubs, retirees, College and High School Groups and professionals who would like to do pro bono work such as assisting us in writing a: Public Services Plan, Building Facilities Plan, Advocacy Plan, Marketing Plan and a Fundraising Plan so we can prepare to expand the libraries 4 ½ times their size.
