The National Park Service is celebrating its 100th birthday and you’re invited! Join us in celebrating the National Park Service Centennial by using your science-savvy skills during the Centennial BioBlitz events hosted nation-wide in partnership with the National Geographic Society on May 20-21, 2016.

Be a part of the fun! Join us in celebrating your Parks’ ecological diversity by volunteering at Manassas National Battlefield Park for our BioBlitz and Discovery Festival. The event will be held Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Brownsville Picnic Area.

Volunteers are needed to assist our visitors during the Discovery Festival Portion of the BioBlitz on Saturday May 21st. The event will be open to the public from 9 am to 4 pm.

Festival positions include staff for welcome and education booths, and activity leaders. Other duties include handing out programs, helping with parking, answering visitor questions, assisting with event tables, monitoring the trash, and then breaking down and cleaning up the site.

Volunteers will also be needed to help set up the site on Saturday morning and make sure everything is in place so the scientists can do their work.
