The Ladybug House’s goal is to become the national palliative care leader for children and adolescents with life-limiting illnesses, inspiring similar homes in cities and towns across the country. As a nonprofit, the goal of Ladybug House is to build and operate a freestanding community-based Palliative Care Home based in Seattle. We will offer no out of pocket costs for end-of-life care to children and adolescents with life-limiting illnesses, as well as family respite from the daily demands of caring for a medically fragile child.
We are looking for a few graphic designers to join our marketing team. Our goal is to support Ladybug house through communication, marketing, public relations, events, and other needs.
-Work independently and collaboratively to identify visual opportunities that best communicate the story of the Ladybug House
-Be able to complete all phases of project from design conceptualization to post production and coordination of distribution
-Ensures consistency and relevancy to production, brand
-Monitors quality of end product
-Create images that help convey LBH’s message
-Develop graphics and visual or audio images for events
-Select colors, images, text style, and layout for communication and marketing materials
-Incorporate changes recommended by staff into the final designs
-Review designs for errors before printing or publishing
Hours: This volunteer position requires an average of two to ten hours per week, however will be project based. We ask for a minimum 6 months commitment. You may work both in Ladybug House office located in downtown Seattle, or at home.

Description
Ladybug House is a grassroots organization working to build Washington's first free standing, community based palliative care home with end-of-life support for children, adolescents and young adults with life limiting illnesses in Seattle. Ladybug House seeks to support families and loved ones, providing rest and rejuvenation for caregivers in a respectful, loving atmosphere. We hope to bring the comfort of home to a medical setting that also meets the emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of each family. If needed, Ladybug House will bridge the gap between home and hospital, offering a place of solace for hospice care.
