The American Armor Foundation, a 501c3 that provides free body armor to underfunded law enforcement agencies across the United States, is recruiting a volunteer to serve as our State Represenative in our home state of Georgia.

This individual will:

  • Help build awareness about us and our cause in the state;
  • Assist us in recruiting volunteers across the state;
  • Oversee the activities of volunteers in the state;
  • Help us identify agencies in the state that need our assistance;
  • Seek out opportunities to speak on behalf of the AAF at civic club meetings and in front of other groups and potential donors; and
  • Assist us in establishing fundraising activites in the state.

The ideal candidate is a current or retired law enforcement officer OR any other individual who supports law enforcement and wants to play a big role in keeping officers in underfunded agencies safe! Our State Representatives will play a vital role in our organization and will be the cornerstone of our continued success.

Candidates must reside within the state, but may perform their role from anywhere.

The selected individual will be provided with an organization email and an Office 365 Online account.

This volunteer position is a great opportunity to play a huge role in an important mission while building your resume!

Our mission is to ensure that every American police officer is equipped with body armor.

Description

A large number of America's police officers do not have body armor due to a lack of funding at their agency. American Armor was created to reduce this number via grants to agenciues in need. Grants are funded by our fundraising efforts, which include individual donations, grants, and fundraiser events.
