Covenant House Alaska serves youth experiencing homelessness, ages 13-24. If you want to literally serve our youth, volunteering in the kitchen might just be the job for you! Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are provided each day and it takes a lot of work to make that happen. We are looking for individuals to support our kitchen staff in prepping, cooking, serving, and cleaning up meals.
2 hour Shifts available for 1-2 people at a time Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday/Sunday 7am-2pm.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and submit a volunteer form as well as complete Food Handler's Training to sign up.
COVID-19 vaccination required for all volunteers and staff (medical/religious exemptions available).

- morning / 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- afternoon / 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM
- afternoon / 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM
- 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM

Description
Covenant House Alaska is to be the leader, through collaboration with the community, to provide compassionate, sustainable services and shelter to homeless or at-risk youth in Alaska.
Youth experiencing homelessness have rights.
The right to a home.
The right to food.
The right to guidance.
The right to an education.
The right to be free from sexual, emotional, or physical abuse.
The right to be free from exploitation.
Youth experiencing homelessness have the right to be safe, and most importantly, to be loved.
