Nonprofit Marketing/ Event Coordinator Internship

Description: Variety-The Children’s Charity of Georgia, Tent 21, was established in Atlanta in 1939 and our mission is to enrich, improve, and fulfill the lives of children living with disabilities and disadvantages.

Job Purpose:

The marketing and event coordinator intern will develop and implement marketing strategies using media, social media, partnership proposals, and the like to reach desired goals.

Duties:

Help create and implement social media marketing posts.

Create presentations consistent with Variety of Georgia’s mission, goals, and brand.

Prepares marketing/promotional materials for corporate meetings.

Update social media pages to add/change new information as needed.

Supports fundraising staff by researching leads and cold calling potential fundraising partners.

Actively participate in the execution and management of Variety of Georgia direct programs including the ability to multi-task, handling logistics and follow through on multiple programs.

Maintain social media sites.

Requirements of Intern

Current college student

Excellent verbal and communication skills.

Direct marketing knowledge. Social media knowledge required.

High standard of excellence and attention to detail.

Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to work in a demanding self-directed work schedule.

Ability to work some weekends
