Are you looking for a way to help your community this summer while gaining Community Service hours for school?
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in downtown San Jose is looking for energetic and fun-loving teen volunteers aged 15 years or over (or 13 or over if a member of teensReach) to help with our Summer Reading Challenge. Volunteers are needed to explain how the Summer Reading Challenge works, register children for the program and award prizes. Volunteers will also help promote library activities and events during this year's summer reading program.
Note: Interested volunteers are required to attend a Summer Reading Challenge Volunteer Training. Volunteers will pick the shifts they want to work but may not sign up for more than 2 shifts per day.
