L.A. Works

Join the front lines of democracy by helping to run a polling station and support voters in the June Primaries!

L.A. Works has partnered with the county registrar's office to provide crucial volunteer support at a few polling stations for the June elections. Polling station volunteers are an important part of our democratic process. When it comes to in-person voting at a polling place, the polling station volunteer ensures that democracy is working by making sure all voters have access to ballots and can let their voice be heard. Help your community perform their civic duty by "working the polls" for the upcoming presidential primary!

Coffee, lunch and free t-shirt will be provided!

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: Volunteers will work in small teams to setup the polls, monitor them during the day, and assisting in the evening closing process.

Requirements: All volunteers must be California residents, 18 years of age or older, US citizens or legal permanent residents (green card holders) and registered voters.

Time Commitment: In addition to the election day project, Volunteer Poll Workers will be required to attend one in person training at L.A. Works on May 14, 2016!
