Become the Treasurer Board Member at For Goodness Cakes and help us spread Love, Joy and Frosting to disadvantaged and at-risk youth.

For Goodness Cakes works with foster agencies and care homes to match volunteers to make and hand-deliver birthday cakes to foster children and at-risk youth on their special day within LA County.

Birthdays are often overlooked due to more pressing needs. Our mission at For Goodness Cakes is to give individual youth at least one special moment that is about them. By providing a child a treat made especially for them, it gives them some much needed time to not feel the increasing pressure of their socioeconomic situation, but rather grow in optimism and confidence.

We are looking for an experienced Board Treasurer to join our Board for a few hours a month and for one Board meeting a quarter, to help our organization grow. The Board Treasurer will be required to:

• Attend all board meetings
• Maintain knowledge of For Goodness Cakes’ operations and a personal commitment to its goals and objectives
• Understand financial accounting for non-profit organizations
• Manage the Board's review of and action related to the Board's financial responsibilities
• Work with the Executive Team to ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board on a timely basis
• Present the annual budget to the board for approval
• Review the annual audit and answer Board members' questions about the audit
• Participate in Board Meetings as a voting member
