Volunteers will be helping our staff unload public food donations and do a quick sort of the goods. Every year, we have this food drive in which the public leaves canned goods at their mail boxes and our postal employees pick up the food and bring it to the post office. Between our several locations in Greenville, we generally receive about 50,000 pounds of food!
The food is distributed to our Agency Partners in our food bank. We work with over 100 local non-profits inclduing homeless shelters, soup kitchens and pantries, providing for their food program needs. In addition, our Harvest Hope pantry assists over 500 clients directly every week with food assistance.

Hunger is a problem affecting the elderly and the young, the healthy and the sick. It is a problem affecting people just like you. Harvest Hope and our member agencies work with people in need from all walks of life.
From parents working minimum wage jobs struggling to put food on the table, to retired couple who have trouble paying for expensive medications, hunger is a reality for a growing number of South Carolinians.
