ORGANIZATION: Nine Network of Public Media(KETC)

Do you enjoy live theatre? Or kids? Do you enjoy both? If so, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!

The Nine Network of Public Media (KETC/Channel 9, your local PBS member station) is looking for 2 to 4 volunteers who can perform and wear a character costume on May 14 and 15 at our booth at Belleville’s Art on the Square.

Your responsibilities include wearing the costume (either Clifford the Big Red Dog or a character from Super Why), greeting children and posing for photos. You will have a volunteer or staff member with you to help with removing the costume as well as to help guide you while walking.

Volunteers will be provided with snacks and water and will have the opportunity to take extended breaks. This opportunity also serves well for service learning or community service hours.

We are looking for volunteers to fill the following time slots:

Saturday, May 14:

Shift One: 10:00 am to noon (two thirty minute breaks will be available in this slot)

Shift Two: Noon to 2:00 pm (two thirty minute breaks will be available in this slot)

Shift Three: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (two thirty minute breaks will be available in this slot)

Shift Three: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm (two thirty minute breaks will be available in this slot)

Sunday, May 15:

Shift One: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (two thirty minute breaks will be available in this slot)

Shift Two: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (two thirty minute breaks will be available in this slot)

Shift Three: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm (two thirty minute breaks will be available in this slot)
